“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
Everyone has a calling on their life (a purpose) and an assignment God has given them to execute on the earth. Below are some ways to identify your calling.
Surrender to God
“For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.” Romans 11:29
This scripture means the gifts God has given you will always be in you whether you surrender to His will or not. It is better to surrender to God and allow Him to lead and guide you so that He can use you; others will come to Christ because of your obedience, and God will get the glory. Pray that God will reveal your spiritual gifts to you.
What are your talents?
Many of us are aware of our natural talents, and some of us are not fully aware of our natural gifts. To help identify your calling, list some talents you are great at or that come easily to you.
The Spiritual Gifts of the Bible
The Bible describes 18 spiritual gifts, which are faith, discernment, words of wisdom, word of knowledge, teaching, evangelism, prophecy, administration, serving, pastoring, mercy, giving, and exhortation. Read 1 Corinthians 12 to learn more about spiritual gifts.
Day 6 Challenge
Take an online spiritual gifts test. Get an idea of what your spiritual gift could be. You can find many tests by searching on Google.
Seek spiritual guidance from a trusted leader or your church leaders. They can possibly help clarify or answer questions you may have about your spiritual gifts.
Keep a journal. List some talents you are great at or that come easily to you. Keep a journal to write down what God says and what you feel God is calling you to do.
We pray this is helpful and pushes you in the right direction.
